1. Quick summary
- Subscriptions renew monthly or annually until the account holder cancels them.
- A free account does not automatically become paid. Charges begin only after an adult confirms paid checkout.
- Canceling stops the next renewal. Paid access normally continues through the current billing period.
- Charges are generally non-refundable after a billing period begins, but CodeDreams reviews duplicate, unauthorized, mistaken, and service-failure claims and always honours rights required by law.
- An adult should contact us promptly about any purchase made by a minor without permission.
2. Adult payment authorization
The person starting a subscription confirms that they are the adult account holder, parent, legal guardian, or other authorized cardholder and that they have authority to accept recurring charges. The checkout page shows the plan, billing interval, currency, price, taxes where available, and renewal arrangement before payment is submitted.
Children must not enter payment details or start, change, or renew a subscription without the account holder's express permission. Stripe securely handles payment credentials; CodeDreams does not store full card numbers.
3. When paid billing starts
Creating and using a free account does not start billing. Free accounts can build and keep draft projects with the AI builder, but cannot publish them. There is no automatic conversion from the free plan.
Paid billing starts only after an authorized adult selects a plan and confirms Stripe checkout. The paid plan unlocks publishing up to the displayed published-project limit.
4. Renewals and price changes
Paid subscriptions renew at the selected interval until canceled. The renewal charge is the then-current price for that plan, plus applicable tax, subject to any valid promotion. Annual prices are charged for the full year, not monthly instalments, unless checkout expressly says otherwise.
We will provide notice required by law before a material price change takes effect. A price change applies no earlier than the next renewal identified in the notice. If you do not agree, cancel before that renewal.
5. How to cancel
Sign in, open the account or plan area, and use the Stripe billing portal to cancel. You may also email support@codedreams.org from the account email if self-service cancellation is unavailable. A request is effective when received and verified, subject to reasonable processing time before a scheduled renewal.
Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and normally leaves paid features active until the end of the current period. It does not by itself delete the account or projects. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate controls.
6. Refund eligibility
Except where law requires otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable once the paid billing period has begun, and we do not provide automatic prorated refunds for unused time, forgetting to cancel, or deciding not to use included features.
We will review a good-faith refund or billing correction request for:
- a duplicate or demonstrably incorrect charge;
- an unauthorized charge reported promptly by the account holder or cardholder;
- a renewal after a cancellation that was completed before the renewal;
- a material Service failure that prevented meaningful use for a substantial portion of the paid period and was not reasonably remedied; or
- a situation in which applicable law requires a refund.
Contacting us within 14 days of the charge helps us investigate, but that request window does not shorten a longer statutory right. Refunds are returned to the original payment method where practicable. Bank processing time is outside our control.
7. Purchases involving minors
If a minor started or renewed a subscription without the adult account holder's authorization, contact us promptly with the account email, charge date, amount, and a short explanation. We may ask for reasonable proof that the requester controls the account or payment method.
We will review the account history, consent record, use after the charge, and applicable law. We may cancel future renewals, restrict the account while investigating, and issue a full or partial refund where appropriate. Nothing here makes a parent waive rights that cannot be waived.
8. Service failures and plan changes
Short outages, maintenance, individual project errors, AI output that needs revision, or failure to use the Service do not automatically create a refund. For a prolonged failure within CodeDreams' reasonable control, we may provide a service credit, extension, partial refund, or full refund based on duration and impact.
Upgrades, downgrades, promotion effects, and proration are shown in Stripe before confirmation where applicable. If a downgrade requires reducing the number of published projects, the Service will ask the account holder which projects to keep published before completing the change. The others are unpublished, not deleted.
9. How to request help
Email support@codedreams.org from the account email. Include the account email, charge date and amount, invoice or receipt identifier if available, and the requested outcome. Never email a full card number, security code, or password.
We aim to acknowledge billing requests promptly and may need additional time to verify Stripe records or account authority. Filing a knowingly false chargeback or refund claim may lead to account suspension, but a good-faith dispute will not be penalized.
10. Mandatory consumer rights
This policy does not exclude cooling-off periods, cancellation rights, statutory warranties, charge reversal rights, or other consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded. If this policy conflicts with mandatory law, that law controls.
The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
